EquiMania! is looking for enthusiastic volunteers (age 16+) to help bring horse education to life at The Horse Capades preceding the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto, ON.

Dates: August 9 – 20, 2026
Time: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (Show hours are 11 – 2)
Location: CNE Grounds, Horse Palace, Toronto, ON

This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with youthwhile sharing your passion for horses in a fun, hands-on learning environment.

EquiMania! Is a World Class Exhibit

Dedicated to educating horse lovers of all ages about horse health and safety, EquiMania! has been featured everywhere from The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair to The World Equestrian Games.  EquiMania! offers an interactive exhibit where visitors can explore topics such as:

• Nutrition and grooming
• Dental care and anatomy
• Rider safety and farm safety

Through games and interactive stations, volunteers help guide visitors as they learn about horses in a safe and engaging way.  Visitors learn how horses are different from us, what we have in common and why we have been captivated by them since the beginning of time.

The Role of an EquiMania! Volunteer

As an EquiMania! volunteer, you will:

• Interact with and engage visitors of all ages
• Lead or assist with hands-on educational activities
• Promote horse health and safety
• Act as an ambassador for Equine Guelph and the University of Guelph

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with crowds
• Horse experience (Equine Guelph/TheHorsePortal.ca courses an asset)
• Knowledge of Equine Guelph programs is helpful
• Ability to arrange your own travel to the CNE Horse Palace (car or transit access)
