Hello and welcome to Horse Behaviour and Safety.

I am Jackie Zions, your instructor.

Our course is 3 weeks with 10 units:

week 1 (mon to fri) – unit 1 through 5

week 2 (mon to fri) – unit 6 through 9

week 3 – unit 10  Guest Speaker & Review

Before we get started I recommend that you go through our quick tutorial – it will help you to navigate the site and get the most out of your experience – you will find the link to the tutorial “Welcome to the Horse Portal” in my welcome announcement.

I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the course.  Read the course overview, objective and assignments.

Some of the readings that are provided in the course link to www.thehorse.com. To view these articles, you will need to register with the website. It is a free registration and there are useful resources available.

I don’t usually check the course site over the weekends but I will be here first thing Monday mornings.  Please also note your posts will not appear immediately.  They are reviewed before appearing live on the site so please be patient.
