How does the arena look through the eyes of your horse?
When you approach a new exercise, do you take the time to see it through the eyes of your horse?
I just came across this article about seeing the arena through your horses eyes and though we could discuss it: https://thehorse.com/186751/seeing-arenas-from-a-horses-perspective/
I tend to set the first jump on course towards home for my students for the very reasons outlined in this article. Horses like to head back to the security of home base. It is easier to head toward the in gate than away from it.
How have you problem solved an exercise that your horse did not understand?
Do you have a story of a horse seeing a gremlin where the human did not?
Looking forward to your posts in the discussion forum,
