We hope you have been enjoying the course so far.

A few students have indicated that there have been some issues in accessing certain resources for the course, specifically the healthcare tools in 5.5.   Over the past year, Equine Guelph has been working on updating all of our healthcare tools so that they can hosted on TheHorsePortal, but these two tools have not been updated as of yet:

• Lesson 5.5 – Journey through the Joints – This activity is showing its age somewhat, as there are a few activities within it that require Flash.  As Flash was discontinued, these activities are no longer available.  We’ve now removed them from the Tool, and are looking into a solution to update these activities.  You are welcome to explore the rest of the tool – but it is not required.
• Lesson 5.5 – The Lameness Lab – There are a number of videos associated with this tool, and I was able to access them all today without issue using Chrome.   We recommend watching them directly on our YouTube channel, if the embedded versions are not working for you, or to try a different browser.
• The interviews with veterinarians and horse owners can also be accessed directly through this playlist on our Youtube channel.
• TheHorse.com is the source of many of our additional resources, and in some cases requires an account in order to view.  The account is free, so we suggest creating one in order to review.  If you would prefer not to do so, please let us know ([email protected]) and we will assist as best we can.
