Welcome to Unit 2 – Emergencies on the Road

Thank you to everyone who took the time to post their introduction in our share and tell – student introduction discussion area.  Wow! We have a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. I’m looking forward to the unit discussions.

In addition to our week 1 discussion area, we invite you to take part in our Emergency Scenarios discussion. Here is one scenario to get you started; think about some of the possible answers to this and how you might handle this situation:

“What do you do if your rig (truck and trailer) decides it doesn’t really want to go uphill and begins to struggle? What does a driver do? What happens if the truck konks out going UPHILL? Emergency brake, and then what?”
