Welcome to Week 5 – Fire Prevention Week!

Hi Everyone,

We are now in week 5 of the course, and just wanted to be sure that everyone is keeping on track for time. You should be finished or well into Unit 4 by this week, and have completed Units 1, 2, and 3. So, if you are a bit behind, do not worry but rather just try to find more time to complete your activities to catch up in order to keep yourself on track.

This is an important week for you to learn about fire safety, for yourself and for the horses. This week we have Dr. Susan Raymond as our guest to talk about Fire Prevention in the barn, keeping yourself and your horses and coworkers safe as well as dispelling some myths along the way. Dr Raymond will join us on Wednesday, August 28, at 2:00 p.m.firemand leading horse out of smoking barn

Pop quiz: When a barn is on fire, go in and blindfold the horse to get it out. True or False?

Join Dr. Raymond and I as we present information you need to know about working in barns and prevention of fire hazards!

Tuesday, October 15, at 11 a.m.
