Dr. Alexandra Rankovic is a Research Associate in Companion Animal and Equine Nutrition at the University of Guelph, where she completed her MSc and PhD. She has experience teaching across a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including equine nutrition, anatomy, and physiology.![]()

Her work focuses on understanding how nutrition and physiology interact to support health and performance across species, including horses. She has contributed to many peer-reviewed publications and has experience working with both industry professionals and horse owners to apply science in practical settings. She is also the host of the equine-focused episodes of the Pet Food Science Podcast.![]()
