Our mission is to represent and assist breeders, provide resources and information to industry participants, encourage responsible breeding practices, and create opportunities that strengthen the future of Canadian Thoroughbred racing.

CTHS supports the growth and development of the industry by promoting the participation of new breeders and owners, encouraging improvements in breeding operations and horse management, and enhancing the recognition and reputation of Canadian-bred Thoroughbreds both domestically and internationally. Through our registration services, industry statistics, advocacy efforts, and the promotion and management of Thoroughbred sales, CTHS plays a vital role in connecting breeders with buyers and supporting a strong, sustainable marketplace.
