Welcome to Day 8 of the Welfare Code of Practice course.  Today, we will be looking into the standards and best practices for Horse Husbandry Practices or in other words, our daily management of the horse.  Our management practices are one of the most influential factors on the health and welfare of our horses.  It is important that we take some time and really assess what we do each day when caring for our horses.  Are there improvements we could make?  Are we following best practices?

We will also take a look at some of the senses of the horse like vision, and for those new to horses, we have included a section on Grooming the Horse, for those who may be new to horses.
