Welcome to For the Herd – an online learning community!

In this learning community, our goal is to aid riding school owners and instructors by providing them with information, resources, guidance and access to experts to help in managing the many challenges they face during the COVID-19 shutdown, and subsequent reopening of the economy.

In this learning community, you can:

  • Watch video interviews with experts on priority topics for riding school owners to help reduce costs and protect the health and welfare of horses in your care
  • Connect to valuable resources on a wide variety of topics relevant to the horse industry
  • State your questions and experiences using our internal discussion board, which allows interactive participation in a private space.

Equine Guelph has put together resources and other information on a number of priority topics for the horse industry.  Each topic will have its own dedicated discussion board, where you can ask questions of industry experts and fellow members of the For the Herd community.  Feel free to explore any and all topics that are relevant to you!

  • Nutrition
  • Health Care
  • Farrier Care
  • Pasture Management
  • Safety and Prevention
  • Risk Management (Legal and Insurance)
  • Financial Management
